This is so very west coast to me... I love the way you captured the sense of once thriving / now disposable emptiness of the west... Phoenix has a bunch of places like this, so it feels somewhat familiar to me.

Also, I like the shadows in this shot.

Great idea to start your new year at a site like this one. I like that you can post the photos larger and that you see the EXIF data right along side of it. My goal this year is to annotate my photos, so blogger works for me this year, but I will consider something like this for a future year!
